A temporary boarding area will open as a replacement until 2020.

The project will cost 2.4 billion. This will be the last stage of the airport's capital improvement plan of 4.1 billion.
The new Terminal 1 will open sometime in 2020 and will most likely be LEED Gold Certified, like Terminal 2.
