The Story: The SFO Airline Collectible Show is one of the longest running airline and aviation collectible shows in the United States running 2 times a year since 1980. Originally started by Tom Dragges of San Mateo,CA. The show was originally connected with Tom's " BAAHS -Bay Area Airline Historical Society" that was working solidly to establish a Museum loaded with many past and present Airline Collectibles items from many Airlines throughout the USA and the World. Many people supported this group over the years with dealers from all over the USA making the Bi-Annual trek to SFO in the spring and fall each year to sell, trade and view rare and exotic airline collectibles from legacy Airlines of the USA. Some items we will never see again in our lifetimes. After Tom retired, the SFO show has continued under new leadership with Mike Chew at the helm, and has held it's own in a tough market. The airline collectible show had a huge boom year pre-Internet days and stayed tough after the economy downturn and the advent of ebay started to edge out the hard working collectors, to World wide participation and price wars, Attending the SFO Airline Collectible Show is a must see event and with everything from A to Z in the room Airline- Military and General aviation, one is sure to find that special collectible that reminds them of a time gone by, or new items that you are looking for.
