Plane Spotting Locations

There are numerous locations across the Bay Area to go planespotting, we recommend the following places.

San Francisco International

Located in San Mateo County, SFO is the busiest of the three International airports.  The parks around SFO give great views of aircraft taking off and landing.

Oakland International

Oakland International is a few miles south of the city of Oakland. Like SJC, it serves as an alternative to SFO.

Mineta San Jose International

Mineta San Jose is located 2 miles NW from downtown San Jose. The addition of skyscrapers under the final provides unique views of landing aircraft.

Other Bay Area Airports

There's more to spot at than SFO, SJC, and OAK. Hayward be completed shortly and added to the plane spotting guide.
