As of Friday morning, about 300 flights had been canceled mainly due to flight crews being displaced as a result of the outage.
As of 11:30 a.m., numerous departures and arrivals have been canceled at Oakland International Airport and Mineta San Jose Airport. There have been just a couple of cancellations at San Francisco International Airport.
According to KRON4’s Dan Kerman at Oakland International Airport Friday afternoon, the cancellations are continuing and already 65% of the flights are delayed.
The technology glitch has been repaired and airline officials are working to restore the network operations that include not only the technology but the scheduling of flights and crews.
