United Airlines Airbus A319
N801UA, January 2006. By Ben Wang via Ed Coates Collection. Notes: Although the Airbus A319 was the last new type to be accepted into the UAL inventory (in 1997) very few of them have, as yet, been repainted into the new 2004-style livery. The very first one delivered has, however, and Ben Wang caught it at San Jose's Norman Y. Mineta International Airport in January of 2006. The A319 is basically a short bodied A320 with a 124-passenger capacity. The -131 series is powered by two IAEV2350-A5 turbofans.
