1. Rules
In order to maintain a well run, civilized website, these are the rules:
1. Do not make unnecessary edits to the website, eg. deleting someone's photos, deleting pages, writing nonsense....(common sense).
2. If you made a mistake/error or need help, please do not hesitate to ask! You can contact me (Andy) at [email protected] I try to respond as soon as possible.
3. If you want to edit the front page (other than adding an update under recent updates) or the rule page (this page), please ask. On any other pages, you are free to edit incorrect/outdated information, add more information, and add photos to the index but make sure to post what you changed under RECENT UPDATES on the Front Page. Please don't edit the recent updates under the To-do page- I got that.
4. Pages Listed under "4. Pages of this website - NOT COMPLETE" are not ready to be released to public viewing.
5. If you want a domain redirect (eg an email sent to [email protected] is redirected to your email address) feel free to ask.

2. Borders of the Bay Area
The borders of the Bay Area are occasionally disputed however if you'd like to add photos of non-Bay airports you're more than welcome too, if they are added to the non-Bay Area airports page(s). (Feel free to make a page for those outside the bay.) Bay Area Spotters is a plane spotting group dedicated to the past, present, and future operations of the San Francisco Bay Area's airports. The website was launched in 2015 and is powered by Weebly. The current plan is: STARTER.
The official domain is currently www.bayareaspotters.com and typing in the old site name: www.bayareaplanespotters.weebly.com should redirect to the current site.

4. About the Pages of the Website
As of March 2018 the Bay Area Spotters website contains around 675 pages and 1,300 photos. Nov. Update - The archives and historic photos will be merged, but both index pages will be kept.
Jul. Update - Only some pages will be merged. Most will stay.

5. Editing the Site
Feel free to email me ([email protected] or [email protected]) the photos if you like.
Please also see the Weebly help section
Adding photos: Drag the photo icon under basic onto the page. Then click the "add image" and upload the photo.
Adding pages:
-To the photo index:
Make sure the aircraft is not already listed under a page, if there is no page, continue.
-Press the plus button and add the page's info to the page information secton(on the left side).
Save the page and drag it to where it needs to go (organized by airline code)
If the page does not line up with the box no matter what you do (see image), reload the page (They may have fixed this)
If it does, don't worry about this. Add images and photo info.
Create the link to the appropriate index page.
